Fresh after a resounding win over Arsenal, Liverpool fans could be set for another boost as it has emerged that the club are in talks to sign one of the brightest young talents in European football.
Renato Sanches had a disastrous season at Bayern Munich, where he looked sluggish and poor in what little game-time he was given, as things did not work out after his move from Benfica. That said, there is no questioning the ability he has as he proved with his performances at Euro 2016 that he can shine when he's happy playing football.
It seems that Jurgen Klopp fancies his chances at getting the best out of Sanches, as Sky Italy have broken the news that Liverpool are in talks with Bayern Munich, but they face opposition from AS Monaco.
Sky Italy: Liverpool in talks to sign Renato Sanches. Monaco interested too. Agent Jorge Mendes at Monaco game now (involved in Mbappé deal)

This news comes on the back of reports in Bild in Germany, and Sport in Spain who claimed the club have identified him as someone to bring in if Philippe Coutinho leaves. Sanches asked to be left out of Bayern's squad for their game with Werder Bremen on Saturday, so clearly a move is imminent.
The fact that Jorge Mendes is in Monaco tonight suggests that the Ligue 1 club are favourites to sign Sanches, but Liverpool seemingly believe they can convince him to come and work under Klopp.
Perhaps today isn't the best time for this story to break in terms of generating excitement among Liverpool fans, as Emre Can and Gioginio Wijnaldum had excellent performances in front of Jordan Henderson against Arsenal, but Renato Sanches has extremely high potential so it will be interesting to see what fee gets reported should the negotiations advance in the coming days.
