With Liverpool set to employ a new manager and director of football over the coming months, it remains to be seen how their transfer plans for this summer will fall into place.
Jurgen Klopp has been the driving force behind a number of deals over the last couple of seasons, with the German set to step aside at the end of the current campaign. As a result, it has been reported that the club will look to implement a new footballing structure at Anfield.
Xabi Alonso is currently seen as the frontrunner to be their next manager, while club owners FSG are also said to be keen to bring former sporting director Michael Edwards back to the club.
While that process remains ongoing, Liverpool are still being linked with some potential summer transfers.

Liverpool eyeing summer deal for Premier League winger
According to The Express, Liverpool are eyeing a cut-price deal for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo this summer.
It is thought that Liverpool are long-term admirers of the 24-year old Cameroon international, who has scored seven goals and registered four assists in just 15 Premier League appearances this season. He has not played since December due to an ankle injury.
While his age and top flight experience mean that he would normally command a sizeable price tag, it is thought that he could be available on a cheaper rate this summer if the London club are relegated to the Championship.
Liverpool have plenty of depth in forward areas, although the right wing position would have the fewest options among the front three. Mohamed Salah has starred in that role since 2017 and is having another stellar campaign at the moment.
However, some at Anfield may feel that Mbeumo could be an ideal backup and possible long-term replacement for the Egyptian star.
He joined Brentford from French club Troyes for a fee of £5.8million back in 2019. While it remains to be seen what sort of fee they would seek for his services this summer, a potential relegation would no doubt make a potential deal that bit smoother for interested clubs.
