It has been an outstanding season for Liverpool sensation Mohamed Salah. The 25-year-old was awarded PFA Player of the Year and is on course for the Golden Boot. However, off the field, the Egyptian star is locked in an images rights dispute with the Epytian FA that could prove disastrous for the summer World Cup.
Salah is represented by Ramy Abbas, who is both his lawyer and agent. He tweeted his frustration earlier today after his image featured heavily on the national team's plane, alongside the Egypt FA's official sponsor. Salah has a deal with a rival sponsor which has proved problematic.
بكل أسف طريقة التعامل فيها إهانة كبيرة جدًا.. كنت أتمنى التعامل يكون أرقى من كدا...

Unfortunately, the way to deal with it is a very big insult... I was hoping the deal would be classier than this...
His agent has been very outspoken on the issue and refused to rule out Salah refusing to represent the association in Russia.
The reports of Mohamed being in direct discussions with the EFA regarding the image rights violations, are false.

We have not even been contacted for a resolution! Nothing! Complete silence! What's the plan?! We just see more and more billboards and ads coming out which we have never authorised! What effect do they think this is having? A good one?! Anyway, time is of the essence...

They don't seem to be interested. Don't seem to care.

Salah's tweet marks the latest development in an escalating dispute, with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt now set to become involved after the player's representatives reached out and requested assistance resolving the issue.
