While much of the summer's transfer speculation has centred around the possibility of Adam Lallana joining Liverpool, it seems it's actually his Southampton and England teammate who could be on his way to Anfield, with Sky Bet suspending betting on Brendan Rodgers signing Rickie Lambert.
This is almost as mad as the time they signed Andy Carroll out of nowhere, although Lambert wouldn't come with a £35m price-tag. Anyhow if it is true, then one would have to spare a thought for Southampton fans who must be losing their minds at this stage.
