New Balance have released a new 'blackout' Liverpool Jersey, and it is an absolute belter. There is a catch however, in that we will never actually see the team wear it on the pitch.Yes that's right, Mo Salah and co will never actually put this kit on.
The limited edition jersey is available to purchase via the club's website for the princely sum of £75. To be fair, it is a fantastic kit.
The jersey is essentially an altered version of the current home kit, sporting all of the same features. All of the logos are still on the jersey, although they have been altered to match the black out theme. It also has a slight 90's theme to it, with the subtle pattern in the background.
It is actually much nicer than Liverpool's current away jersey, which is the purple and orange monstrosity they have sported in a number of games this season. Their 80's inspired grey third kit is much better, but it is still a pity we will not see this effort on the filed of play.
Liverpool are the latest club to release a fourth kit this season, with a number of top sides doing so in recent weeks. Manchester United, Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all released FIFA 19 inspired kits, which will also not be worn on the pitch.
