Liverpool v Real Madrid. The European Cup doesn't get much more iconic than that.
The sides have met in three finals - including two of the last five - with Liverpool's only victory in those games coming in 1981. Real won out in 2018, and again in last year's final, while the sides also met in the 2020/21 quarter-finals and the 2014/15 group stages.
Other than that 1981 final, the only time Liverpool have come out on top in a European Cup tie against Real Madrid was in 2008/09, when they knocked the Spanish side out at the last 16.
In fact, they didn't just knock Real out - they completely dismantled the Spanish side. After a 1-0 win at the Bernabeu in the first leg, Liverpool would go on to crush Real 4-0 at Anfield, sealing a famous 5-0 aggregate win for the Reds.
Though Liverpool would go on to lose out to Chelsea in the following round, the win against Real Madrid remains one of Anfield's most iconic European nights, and they will hope for a similar result in Tuesday night's game.
For our latest Champions League quiz, we're tasking you with naming the two teams from that famous 2009 night at Anfield. There were plenty of iconic names on the field - but a few rogues as well, for good measure.
Liverpool v Real Madrid: Name the 2008/09 Reds squad
We are only asking you to name the 22 players who started the game (even though one of Liverpool's four goals came from Andrea Dossena off the bench), and you have eight minutes to get them all. Best of luck!

Liverpool fans will hope for a repeat of that 2009 win on Tuesday night but, with both teams struggling domestically this season, and Real Madrid having the upper hand of this fixture in recent years, it's tough to say who will come out on top.
