With Jurgen Klopp set to leave the club over the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see what type of overhaul Liverpool conduct of their playing squad over the summer.
Their is fairly well set moving forward, with a number of their most valuable squad members still in the earlier stages of their career. However, others are pushing on a bit and may well be moved on in the near future.
Michael Edwards, who oversaw the rebuild of the club early on in Klopp's reign, has returned to Anfield and is known to be keen to sell players while they still hold a high value in the transfer market.
Mohamed Salah will certainly be an interesting test case.
The Egyptian star will enter the final 12 months of his contract this summer and it remains unclear if a new deal will be signed. As well as that, he was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last offseason, an option that is likely to be on the table once again over the coming months.
If he does move on, it seems Liverpool have a potential replacement in mind.

Liverpool eyeing Premier League star as Salah replacement
Spanish outlet Fichajes are reporting that Liverpool are interested in signing West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.
The Ghana international joined the Premier League side last summer, going on to impress during his time at the London Stadium. He has registered 13 goals and four assists in all competitions this season.
Kudus was said to be of interest to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United prior to his £38million move from Ajax, a fee that now looks like a real bargain. West Ham would certainly seek a fee well in excess of that amount if they decide to sell him in the near future.
Michael Edwards often favoured move for players with Premier League experience during his previous stint at Anfield, with the likes of Sadio Mane, Gini Wijnaldum, Virgil van Dijk, and Andy Robertson proving to be hugely successful signings after arriving from other clubs in the division.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool follow up this interest over the coming months.
