Liverpool have been completely rejuvenated this season, with their business during the summer transfer market playing a big part in that.
Jurgen Klopp completely overhauled his midfield during the off-season, with Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita all leaving the club. The likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Wataru Endo came in to replace them.
The result of that has been a stark improvement in form in comparison to last season, with Liverpool sitting top of the league and having already secured their spot in the Carabao Cup final.
In saying that, it is unlikely that their rebuild is finished just yet. Their defence could still do with an upgrade or two, with one potential target now identified.

Liverpool eyeing Premier League defender as Matip replacement
Joel Matip's Liverpool contract is set to expire at the end of the season, with the player also suffering from a long-term injury at the moment. Jurgen Klopp said he would like to give the player a new deal, although the club may be hesitant to do so considering his age and injury history.
If they do look for a replacement this summer, it seems one Premier League defender tops their wishlist.
The Mirror are reporting that Liverpool are keen to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.
At 23-year olds, Guehi would certainly fit the age profile that the Merseyside club tend to look for in potential signings. He also has quite a bit of Premier League experience, playing almost 100 times in the division since arriving at Selhurst Park from Chelsea in 2021.
A nine-cap England international, Crystal Palace would no doubt seek a sizeable fee in order to sell the player over the coming months. However, Liverpool may be willing to stump up the cash if they are intent on refreshing their defence at the end of the season.
They are likely to have a number of other targets in mind, although Guehi would no doubt be an attractive option.
This could be one to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.
