The season is only just finished but already Liverpool are flying out of the blocks in terms of signings for next season. A deal for James Milner was wrapped up at the end of last week and now Danny Ings has become the club's second signing of the summer subject to a medical.

Ings is out of contract but given that he is under the age of 24, Burnley are entitled to a compensation fee. It seems that although Ings has signed, this fee has not yet been finalised.
Burnley and Liverpool still in talks over a fee & are hopeful of reaching an agreement without the need for a Premier League tribunal.

A deal for Ings has been mooted for quite some time and it will bolster the club's attacking options following a very disappointing season in front of goal. Some fans may be sceptical about the signing but when you consider that, in an injury hit season for a relegated club, Ings managed eleven Premier League goals. That's three more than Liverpool's four senior strikers managed over the course of the campaign.
