Liverpool's home kits have been among the most consistent in the Premier League for the last few years, but what creativity the erstwhile kit manufacturers Warrior conserved with the home kit they over-compensated with the alternate kits, which were, for a few years, batshit mental. (The away jersey in 2013/14 season, for example, had that strange 'Printer Ink Test' effect on the front).
In contrast, New Balance have been more understated in how they've gone about their alternate kit business. Until now. Liverpool's new away kit was announced this morning and it's....purple. Or 'deep violet' according to those who made it.
Away from Anfield.
Wear the Liver Bird proudly on your chest.

Liverpool fans are distinctly unimpressed. Although a couple of United fans spied an opportunity.
Nice to see Liverpool away kit colour is inspired by Barney the Dinosaur. Because Dinosaurs were walking the earth the last time they won the league pic.twitter.com/HUPHIJTbqj

New balance seem to resemble Liverpool’s back 4, some really boss kits recently, but always liable to drop a bollock
