Liverpool are on the hunt for a backup left back this summer and it had looked like they would strike a deal for Norwich City's Jamal Lewis.
The relegated club had rejected a bid of £10million for the player, holding out for an offer of £20million. It had been assumed the two teams would find a compromise, but it appears Liverpool may have already moved on.
James Pearce of The Athletic and Paul Joyce of The Times, two of the most reliable sources when it comes to the club's transfer dealings, have reported that Liverpool are now in negotiations with Olympiacos over a deal for Kostas Tsimikas.

Tsimikas is a 24-year old left back who has been on the books at Olympiacos since 2014. He has earned three caps for the Greek national team.
While not as familiar a name to supporters of the English club, Tsimikas does have Champions League experience having started all six of his side's fixtures in the competition this season. He also registered five assists in 20 Greek league appearances.
Liverpool moving on from Lewis so quickly seems to indicate that the club are looking to get their business done in a swift fashion this summer, while also refusing to go beyond their valuation of players.
Left back seems like the main area of concern at the minute, but a centre back and midfielder could well be next on their list.
