Jurgen Klopp paid an emotional farewell to the Liverpool supporters this afternoon, with the German giving an impassioned speech to the Merseyside crowd after his team's 2-0 victory over Wolves.
It was always likely to be an emotional day for the Anfield fateful, with it being hoped that there would be something to celebrate on the pitch to send off their outgoing manager.
Liverpool were the dominant side throughout the game (thankfully in part to an early red card for Wolves defender Nelson Semedo), with goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Jarell Quansah giving them a 2-0 lead at halftime.

The home team would have a number of excellent opportunities to extend their lead in the second half, with Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah both coming close to scoring.
While they would not manage to find a third goal, it was a good performance to bring to an end the Jurgen Klopp era.

Jurgen Klopp pays emotional farewell to Liverpool fans
Considering what Jurgen Klopp has come to mean to the Liverpool fans, we were always guaranteed some emotional scenes after the final whistle.
The 56-year old had a few tears towards the end of the game, but when his time to make a speech in front of the fans came around, he was in sensational form.
He praised the Liverpool fans for how they have treated him over the last nine years, but perhaps the standout moment came when he mentioned his replacement. When asking the Anfield crowd to give the same backing to their new manager next season, he even led a rendition of a new Arne Slot chant.

That sums up the man.
Liverpool are yet to officially announce Klopp's successor at Anfield, although we now know it is certain that Arne Slot will be the man that replaces him next season.
He will certainly have big shoes to fill.
