Liverpool F.C. have announced the appointment of Longford woman Clare Farrell as their new lead performance nutritionist.
The English giants have seen an overhaul of the men's coaching team in recent months, after the sudden departure of Jurgen Klopp as manager at the end of last season.
New manager Arne Slot has slowly been getting his team in place, and there is Irish representation on the nutrition side.
Clare Farrell has been announced as the new lead performance nutritionist - and she brings All-Ireland winning pedigree to Anfield.

Liverpool appoint Longford woman as new lead performance nutritionist
Liverpool confirmed that Clare Farrell's role will oversee "nutrition strategies at the club to support the players' health, performance and recovery around training and matches."
The Longford woman worked as a nutritionist with Munster during their URC-winning season of 2022-23 and has also previously worked with West Ham United WFC and several inter-county GAA teams. Farrell studied general human nutrition in UCD before completing a masters in sports and exercise nutrition at Loughborough University.
Farrell has experience on the pitch as well, having won an All-Ireland club final with Longford Slashers in 2022.
The Slashers were the first Longford club side ever to reach an All-Ireland final in 2022, and they ultimately defeated Mullinahone 4-11 to 2-8 in the intermediate championship final at Croke Park. Farrell scored 0-1 from wing-back in the final.
At the time, Farrell was balancing her work with the Munster men's team with her duties with her club - an impressive feat, as both sides would experience historic triumphs that season.
Speaking to Balls.ie in the week leading up to the Slashers' All-Ireland win, Farrell told us of her teammates' understanding towards her travel for work with Munster:
The expectation isn't there for me to be back all the time for training and I'm lucky that the girls are sound, and they understand that.
I just make sure I get my own work done if I'm not back.
I'm very lucky to have such a supportive group around me who understand my situation and don't expect me to be in ten places at the one time.
Farrell has now settled into her new role as a new era begins at Liverpool under the stewardship of Arne Slot.
