And no, that's not a typo in the headline.
Liverpool were in the hunt to sign Norwegian teenage sensation Martin Ødegaard before he decided to join Real Madrid, where he made his first team debut at the end of last season at just 16 years of age.
While the World's football media were captivated by Martin Ødegaard's selection process as he went on what seemed like a World tour of elite training grounds, back in Norway, the next Martin Ødegaard was already making a move, as Kreshnik Krasniqi made his full senior debut at a quite frankly ridiculous 14 years of age.
Dubbed the "next Martin Ødegaard", Krasniqi revealed that his favourite team was Barcelona, but now, the next next Martin Ødegaard has just confirmed that he has signed a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool, ahead of the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City who were also interested in his signature.
14 year old Edvard Tagseth expressed his delight at committing to Liverpool, who he will join when he turns 16:
It feels good to finally be done with it and to decide on a club.I felt it was best club for me. I enjoyed myself best there.
One to keep an eye out for, there certainly does seem to be an influx of super talented Norwegian children on the radars of Europe's biggest clubs.
