At long last Liverpool have finally earned the right to place the prestigious World Champions badge on their jersey, but they must also wait for the opportunity to wear it as it is not permitted in the Premier League.
However, the club will be afforded the opportunity to don it in other competitions once they are officially presented with it at a ceremony yet to be announced. The Merseysiders will be permitted to wear it in the Champions League this season and up until a new world club champion is crowned next season.
They will also be permitted to wear it in the FA Cup, although they club will need to formally apply to register the new jersey first.
