Liverpool and Spurs' clash at Anfield was the Premier League at its bewilderingly frantic best this evening. Amidst the chaos - most of it courtesy of Mamadou Sakho's incredibly erratic passing - Dejan Lovren stood solid and stolid at the heart of the Liverpool defence, before ultimately buying a superb Harry Kane dummy that led to Tottenham's equaliser. Phil Coutinho had given Liverpool the lead a couple of minutes after half-time.
It was Lovren who caught the eye, however, with Jamie Carragher effusive in his praise at half-time. As were many supporters:
Dejan Lovren's first half by numbers vs. Spurs:
100% tackles won
7 clearances
5 blocks

Dejan Lovren is starting to look like the player he was at Southampton, playing really well today!
