Liverpool have done rather okay in recent seasons when it comes to bringing through young, tricky wingers from the youth set-up. Sterling was followed by Ibe and although the former Wycombe youngster is yet to really hit the heights he should be capable of, it's surely only a matter of time before Sheyi Ojo is nipping at his heels in the fight for a place in the senior set-up.
His emergence on the scene will come as no surprise to Liverpool fans who have been following the 18 year old's progress for a couple of seasons now. Loan spells at Wigan and Wolves have set him up perfectly and that goal that he caressed into the top corner on his Anfield debut against Exeter earlier in the season did little to dampen expectations among Liverpool fans.
A brief Premier League debut arrived against Southampton before the international break and judging by two brief clips that Liverpool shared on their twitter feed on Monday night, we feel confident in saying that Ojo has firmly outgrown the underage set-up and is ready to be taken under Jurgen Klopp's wing and turned into a world beater.

And he follows it up with some tidy footwork and a pinpoint through ball! pic.twitter.com/NpTrdUOjz5

We're being slightly facetious with the world beater predictions. Before the hype starts to grow exponentially, there's a lot more development to take place but Ojo's performance against Leicester u21s last night has certainly got Liverpool fans talking.

@LFC @sheyi_ojo he's actually better than Ibe, definately deserves to be in the first team.

Daniel O'Brien's suggestion that everyone should 'catch a fucking grip' is certainly not a bad one and the competition for places around Liverpool's attacking midfield is such that he may not be as readily given the chances that Sterling and Ibe were afforded.
However, he certainly has the potential and Klopp has never been one to stand in the way of young talent. There's certainly no point in giving up on Ibe just yet but there's no doubt that if Ojo continues in a similar fashion, Liverpool have a more than useful youngster waiting in the wings.
