You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Liverpool have this morning been forced to deny reports that Carlo Ancelotti has been 'sounded out' about taking over from Brendan Rodgers should the club's poor run of form continue.
The report began in Italian online publication CalcioMercatoWeb before English media picked up on it this morning. All in all, there seems to be very little in it. Rodgers is in trouble, Klopp links are cold, Ancelotti is out of a job. Put two and two and two together and you get ten.
Liverpool could not be any firmer this morning. The club is adamant there has been no approach to Carlo Ancelotti.

However, the fact that Liverpool have come out to 'firmly' deny the reports have got some fans thinking. Why the need for the denial? The Klopp rumours have been circulating for months, where was the denial then?
The Klopp talk has been going on for months and hardly anyone has said anything about Ancelotti but the club felt the need to comment...😏

Klopp is linked repeatedly for weeks. No comment from FSG. Ancelotti is linked. A denial of any talks. Hmm.

Do people not think it's strange that FSG have denied Ancelotti after a number of hrs yet were silent on Klopp? Something may be happening.

But why come out and formally deny it? Klopp rumours have been ignored for weeks? One day of Ancelotti and suddenly FSG speak? Don't get it.

I find it weird how the club felt the need to publicly deny approaching Ancelotti. They wouldn't usually do that about transfer targets.

We can't say for certain who will be Liverpool manager come the end of the season but one thing's for certain, a large section (if the not the majority) of Liverpool fans don't want it to be Rodgers.
