All others aspiring to the title of the biggest cunt in Britain can stand down, for Liverpool fan Spencer Evans has anointed himself as such today.
Inevitably, after one of these historic and improbable comebacks, there always emerges the story of one impatient traffic beater who, having departed early in a sullen huff, misses the greatest comeback in his club's history, etc, etc.
What makes Spencer different is that he is owning his shame. Most of these individuals hang furtively in the shadows for a while, deleting their social media accounts and retreating to their basement to escape the scorn and ridicule.
The last thing they try and do is amplify the story.
Spencer has gone the other way and is pronouncing his idiocy to the world. It's got to the stage where one half expects him to take out a full page ad in the Liverpool Echo like one of those footballers leaving a club. Followed possibly by an apology tour and a confessional memoir.
Spencer broke the story of his early departure to the world by dubbing himself 'the biggest cunt in Britain'. Make no mistake, this is a hard title to fasten on oneself.
I am officially the biggest cunt in Britain.
My head went at 1-3 and I left the ground.

Spencer's self-esteem is on the floor today. There appears to be no slur or epithet so vicious that Spencer won't agree with it wholeheartedly.
@jakesanders22 @JamesTaylorAG clown is fair. Clown is true !

On twitter user, Jamie felt that more pejorative words needed to be added to Spencer's original statement that he was the biggest cunt in Britain.

He even went so far as to confess that he'd left at half-time in the 2005 Champions League Final were it not for the fact that he didn't know Istanbul so well.
@JamesTaylorAG@jakesanders22 I would of left in Istanbul at half time but the ground was in the middle of nowhere !!!
