The annual Premier League pre-season tournament concluded today. Firstly, Crystal Palace won the third-placed playoff against West Brom after goals from Luka Milivojevic and Bakary Sako. The main event though, was the Asia Trophy final between Liverpool and Leicester.
Jurgen Klopp left Dominic Solanke on the bench, despite his goal against Palace during the week - electing to start Philippe Coutinho instead.
He would've been furious with how his side fell behind. Islam Slimani powered ahead of James Milner to nod the Foxes in front:
Liverpool would be level within ten minutes, all thanks to some magic from Mohamed Salah. The clubs' record signing played a pair of one-twos' before delicately flicking the ball past Kaspar Schmeichel.
The Reds would go in at half time ahead thanks to an absolute stunner from Coutinho. The Brazilian was given far too much space on the apex of the box and he exploited that by bending the ball into the top right-hand corner.
A huge crowd showed up in the Hong Kong Stadium for the game and they were treated to a piece of class from Liverpool's little wizard.
They were able to hold on to claim the Asia Trophy for the first time. They had previously finished as runners up to Portsmouth in 2007.
