Listen: Man Utd Fan Makes "Biggest Statement In The History Of Football" On BBC Radio

When a big team fails to get a result where many expected them to, you tend to hear some less than rational opinions around social media and radio phone-ins, but one Manchester United fan completely baffled those listening to the BBC 606 podcast with a statement that he prefaced by saying was "the biggest statement in the history of football".

There had been rumours during the week that Manchester City and Manchester United were set to do battle for the services of Pep Guardiola depending on the resolution of his future at Bayern Munich, but this fan claims not only is Guardiola not going to happen, but that there's one man for the job..

Alan Pardew would be the best appointment at Manchester United since Alex Ferguson? That certainly is quite a statement, but more bizarre than 'big'.
