With Brian Clough's pupil Martin O'Neill still (just about) favourite to take the Ireland job, ex-Nottingham Forest and Manchester United midfielder Neil Webb talked about what it was like playing under the old man.

Cloughie's belief that players should enjoy a few drinks the night before a match to relax them is now unpopular among those who hand out UEFA A and B licences. He also dreamed up a rather unusual pre-season drill.

The background sound is Dion Dublin whispering in the background (he whispers loudly). Listen out for him yelling out "NEIL WEBB SON" at one point. His loudness was inexplicable given that Joe Molloy was sitting a yard from him but anyhow... Apologies for the interference

Neil Webb was one of the five former Manchester United legends in Dublin today to mark Setanta Sports showing five Manchester United games in the next few weeks. He was joined by Frank Stapleton, Dion Dublin, Viv Anderson and Clayton Blackmore. The United boys took on an Irish Sports Media selection, which included this correspondent. We gave them the run around but their experience eventually told in the end winning 10-9 (though that scoreline is disputed).
