Reports have been circulating online that Lionel Messi will be joining Inter Miami in 2023.
There were rumours earlier in the week that Messi would be leaving Paris St. Germain and returning to Barcelona, after a largely disappointing season with the French side, which has seen him score just six league goals and get eliminated from the Champions League in embarrassing fashion by Real Madrid.
Messi To The US?
Messi’s deal with PSG is for two years, and if he was to move to Miami, he would finish out his deal first before heading to the United States.
It is also being reported that Messi intends to purchase a 35% share in the club, of which David Beckham is President and part owner.
However, Messi’s agent has denied the rumours and has labelled them as “completely false”. When speaking to Le Parisien, he also went onto state that,
Leo has not yet decided on his future. And if Leo Messi has crossed paths with David Beckham in the last few hours, it is only as part of PSG’s stay in Doha where the former English midfielder plays a role as an ambassador for the next World Cup in Qatar."

Inter Miami were founded four years ago and are currently coached by Phil Neville. They sit in 13th position in the Eastern Conference of the MLS.
We reported two months ago on the rumours that Messi was unhappy with the criticism he was receiving from the French press. This news also broke through French outlet the Le Parisien.
"It has even become a subject in the PSG locker room, where the Argentinian confided his amazement to several influential executives from the Loges (PSG Training Ground) camp."
"The Argentine star does not at all appreciate the comments on his performances in the French press."
