Academy players often complete their studies alongside their footballing development. For example, former Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper and new Manchester City signing Gavin Bazunu is still undergoing his Leaving Cert preparations with Ashfield College even though he joined the Premier League club last month.
The club do have Irish presence in their first team, with Lee Frecklington and Cian Bolger both at the club.
