"It's Like Watching Brazil!": The Welsh Really Enjoyed Themselves Tonight

If we thought the crushing 5-1 defeat at the hands of Denmark last November was bleak, Martin O'Neill's side somehow found a lower ebb tonight in Cardiff.

After a disastrous build-up shrouded in negativity, Irish fans hoped more than they might have expected something positive to emerge on the field once the new nations league season kicked off. But any hint of optimism was quickly eviscerated by a first half horror show that saw Wales storm into a 3-0 lead, which merely confirmed the opinion of many Welsh fans inside the stadium.

For as bad as Ireland were, Wales it must be said were clinical and decisive in every action and were well worth their comfortable 4-1 victory in Giggseh's first competitive outing as manager. Unfortunately for us, our misery was compounded by the exuberant Welsh reaction on social media.
