Man-mountain Adebayo Akinfenwa had been gaining a lot of new fans recently in the build up to AFC Wimbledon's FA Cup clash against Liverpool, where the League Two side gave a good account of themselves in a 1-2 loss, and he will surely gain a few more after he gave this brilliant interview to Liverpool FC's official YouTube channel.
A self confessed Liverpool fan, Akinfenwa gave a refreshingly honest account of what it was like for a lower league player to play against Premier League opposition, revealing how he was feeling playing against players who he is a fan of, and how he instructed his team-mates that Steven Gerrard's jersey was his, and no-one else's.
Akinfenwa is certainly a larger-than-life character and it's great to see someone like him put his ego to one side and be honest about how much this FA Cup tie meant to him.
