Celtic legend John Hartson has tweeted an update on Liam Miller's health, following a phone conversation this morning with the 36-year-old ex-Irish international. It was revealed last month that Miller, formerly of Celtic and Manchester United, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and has been undergoing chemotherapy.
Hartson revealed this morning that he has been speaking to Miller:
Just off the phone to Liam Miller.. he has a big fight on his hands, and is feeling determined and battling hard through this horrible period of his life. We send him our prayers and strength, and hope that Liam can get back to a normal way of life.

Hartson himself has successfully battled the illness in the past. In 2009, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer that ultimately spread to his brain. Remarkably, Hartson has fought his way back to full health.
