England may have been in the Euro 2024 final but former Oasis man Liam Gallagher was too busy playing a gig in Thomond Park to watch.
The rockstar brought his Definitely Maybe 30 Years Anniversary Tour to Limerick, but did not alter the timing of the gig, despite it clashing with England's meeting against Spain.
Liam, like his brother Noel Gallagher, is a massive Manchester City supporter and the latter was notably in attendance at the final in Berlin.
Speaking to BBC Five Live a couple of weeks ago, Noel Gallagher claimed he was not an England supporter as he is Irish.
Noel Gallagher asked about Phil Foden playing for England...
"I'm not an England fan, I'm Irish 💚"

He was still pictured at the fixture in the company of some England fans, although he did have a green shamrock pin attached to his jacket.

The Gallagher brothers may be from Manchester but their parents are Irish.
Their mother, Peggy, is from County Mayo while their father, Thomas, grew up in County Meath.
Irish crowd lets Liam Gallagher know about England's Euro 2024 loss
Liam did not appear to carry too much interest in the game as he entertained the Irish crowd on Sunday evening, although that did not stop them from letting him know the outcome.
Chants of 'Olé, Olé, Olé' began to ring out amongst the crowd after news of Spain's late victory emerged in Thomond.
Renowned for his quick wit, he had an appropriate song choice as he gave his response to the chants.
This one is called Whatever, you f**kers," he stated.

Whatever - it is worth pointing out - is not a part of Oasis' Definitely Maybe album so it appears this was a conscious song choice from the man known as LG.
Brilliant stuff.
LIMERICK more like LIMEROCK that was biblical stay young LG x

He admitted he was gutted with the result in a Tweet he posted the following morning - not that he let it get in the way of a good gig if reviews are anything to go by.
'Gutted about the football but I’ll live as im zen and I’m a practicing parka monk I wish all our teams well in competition be England Ireland Scotland Wales so let’s just all be kind to each other chill the fuck out LG x"
We don't imagine that he will lose too much sleep as most of England comes to terms with yet another near-miss at a major football tournament.
