Liam Brady was on RTÉ Radio ahead of last night's win over Kazakhstan to talk about the future of the Irish manager's job. Brady bemoaned the high expectations of the Irish public when it comes to the Ireland team especially now that Richard Dunne and Robbie Keane are coming to the end of their careers.
When asked who would have the "broad shoulders" which he thinks is required of the next Ireland manager, Brady suggested that Mick McCarthy would be the perfect fit.
