Lewis Ferguson was sent-off for a shocking tackle on Celtic's Tom Rogic after 67 minutes of Aberdeen's Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

After Rogic received the ball on the edge of the Aberdeen box, Ferguson lunged in with a two-footed tackle. Referee Craig Thomson had little choice but to send off the 19-year-old.

The resulting free kick hit the wall but then fell to Rogic. His shot rolled beyond the reach of Joe Lewis to make it 3-0 to Celtic.

Ferguson was the second Aberdeen player to see red in the game. In the first half, Dominic Ball was shown two yellow cards in the space of nine minutes.

In addition, Aberdeen assistant manager Tony Docherty was sent off at half-time and manager Derek McInnes was sent to the stands in the 74th minute.
