L'Equipe did not allow France winning their second ever World Cup to prevent a critical eye being cast over Sunday's win against Croatia.
France ran out comfortable 4-2 winners but that scoreline did not result in a wholly positive outlook in the paper's famously tough player ratings.
N'Golo Kanté - one of France's most important players throughout the tournament - received just three for his performance.
Kanté was far below his usual level - the energy usually associated with his game was especially lacking. The 27-year-old departed the game ten minutes after the break. France undoubtedly improved with Steven N'Zonzi in his place.
Antoine Griezmann was France's most highly rated player of the game with an eight, followed by fellow goalscorers Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe.
