In one of the most bizarre incidents ever written about on this website, Leigh Griffiths was booked on Thursday for having a bottle of Buckfast thrown at him.
The incident happened with an hour gone in Celtic's game against Linfield. Griffiths had been lining up a corner for the Hoops in front of a section of Linfield fans. After first stopping to pick up a coin thrown down at him, Griffiths then had a lighter land next to him. He picked that up too before the bottle of Buckfast came flying past his right side.
When he stopped to hand it to the referee, he was yellow carded for time wasting. Which was utterly mental given the circumstances.
After the game though, Griffiths got a small form of revenge for himself though. As he has done in the past, he tied a green and white scarf around one of the Windsor Park goalposts.
That has now come back to bite him though, as UEFA have charged the striker with 'provoking spectators'. The standard punishment for that ban is a one game suspension. That means that Griffiths could miss the first leg of the tie against Dundalk or Rosenborg next Wednesday.
The incident caused a small number of Linfield fans to try and get onto the pitch at Griffiths, which UEFA have charged the Blues for, alongside the Buckfast incident.
Celtic have also been hit by UEFA for 'improper conduct' after five of their players were booked during the game.
It's not the first time either side has gotten a slap on the wrists from UEFA. Celtic were fined for crowd trouble at their game against Manchester City last year. While Linfield have previously being punished for breaking UEFA's rules on standing.
Swiss referee Stephen Klossner has been appointed to the second leg.
