Today Leeds United unveiled a new crest for their club. Today a petition was started to get the crest eliminated. Today that petition garnered 52,000 votes (and counting). Today Leeds have backtracked on their new crest with managing director Angus Kinnear telling West Yorkshire Sport that a consultation process for a new club crest will be reopened. All in less than 24 hours. That my friends is the magic/madness of social media.

Kinnear told BBC Radio Leeds: “It's not been my easiest day in the office. But it reminds me of the great club I'm working for, the passion that's come from the fanbase.
As we look at the feedback, it's clear that the consultation process wasn't extensive enough and we need to reopen that process.
The design has been likened to an old Pro Evolution Soccer non-branded logo by Aston Villa who got in on the b*nter today, with this sick reference:
We can't wait for this one, @LUFC...?

At least the Yorkshire club has seen sense and responded to their 'passionate' fanbase. All eyes will be on the Championship club when they come out with their next attempt, but it surely can't be as miserable as today's effort.
