Going through something of a drop off after their strong start to the Championship season, Leeds United had reason to be thankful after escaping Elland Road with a solitary point this evening.
Dominating the ball as one has come to expect of Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds, they nonetheless found themselves trailing Nottingham Forest 1-0 with time quickly running out.
Some careful interplay on the edge of the Forest box eventually led to Mateusz Klich crossing wonderfully for the onrushing Kemar Roofe.
Meeting the ball at the back-post Roofe converted the chance to bring Leeds level. However, the manner with which he carried this out was a little disputable, to say the least.
On reflection, Roofe quite clearly bundled the ball over with his hand. To add insult to injury, there scarcely seemed any doubt that this wasn't exactly what he attempted to do.
Leading the resistance, Forest's Costel Pantilimon pleaded with both the referee and his linesman to review their decision.
Alas, the goal stood and Leeds got their point.
I mean, it was the greatest handball finish I've ever seen by Roofe and we deserved at least a point #lufc

I have no affiliation to either side but I’ve just seen a @LUFC player palm the ball into the net to seal a 1-1 draw with @NFFC Scorer Kemar Roofe acknowledges the offence but offers no contrition. The fact football has no remedy to right the wrong speaks volumes.

Forest boss Aitor Karanka was none too pleased with the officials missing this one, and potentially costing his side all 3 points.
Even Bielsa appeared somewhat reluctant to celebrate the goal too vociferously.
