File this one under bizarre. According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United fans are up in arms after some dastardly Minnesota Twins fans appeared on you tube singing a version of Marching on Together.  Leeds fans claim that  their song has been stolen by the Americans and the song's co-writers Barry Mason and Les Reed seem to agree.

Les said: “I sympathise with Leeds United fans, who have always regarded the song as sacrosanct to their club.

Barry Mason, the wordsmith who collaborated with Les on the original, said: “The Americans are cheeky nicking our song, but it is very flattering too that it is being enjoyed by a new generation of fans.”

However, if I was a Leeds fan I wouldn't rule out the possibility that Ken Bates sold the song to the Minnesota fans in a secret deal.
