The strange case of Joseph Minala, the Lazio youth player who looks at least two decades older than he is purported to be, seems to have been settled.

The FIGC (the Italian Football Federation) have found that the Cameroonian player passport has not been doctored and that he is indeed 17, and not in his early 40s, as has been alleged by some.

As was reported by Football Italia, the FIGC released a statement, putting the matter to bed.

The Federal Prosecutor has examined the report and ordered the investigation to be closed.
