It's not in the Mike Newell class, but Laurent Blanc has been collared by some observers for making sexist remarks to a Swedish journalist.

Blanc was asked about his tactics by Swedish journalist Johanna Franden, who quizzed him about his decision to switch from a 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3.

"Women talking football tactics, it's so beautiful," Blanc simpered. "I think it's fantastic. You know what 4-3-3 means, don't you?" Frnaden responded neutrally saying "It is my job to know what it means." Blanc then point out that "I mean, there's a lot of ways of playing. Ha ha just joking."
