So now it turns out that Yaya Toure wants to stay at Man City forever and ever and ever and ever, after he pledged his future to the club for 'as long as possible.'
Toure decided he wanted to leave the club at the start of the summer after a debacle over him getting a cake instead of Bugatti for his birthday and also the fact that there wasn't as much as one pointy party hat handed out to his teammate.
The Ivory Coast midfielder then accused the club of not allowing him time off to see his sick brother Ibrahim, who passed away during the World Cup.
However, despite the previous unrest, Toure has said in an interview:
It was not a case of me wanting to leave the club.
I stayed quiet and at the end of the day it’s my decision: I will stay at Man City for as long as possible. The matter is closed now.
He added 'Now I’m very happy to join the team and the manager.'
