Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has chosen tonight's EFL Cup meeting with Tottenham Hotspur as the perfect time to get a look at some of the club's brightest young prospects, as he has rested many first team squad members for the tie.
Despite not having the demands of European football causing the need to rest and rotate players, he has given the likes of Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho the night off.
Pochettino too has gone with a very youthful look, resting Son, Dele Alli, and Hugo Lloris.

Klopp is handing first-team debuts to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ovie Ejaria, while the fans will be happy to get a good look at Marko Grujic after he impressed so much in pre-season.
Eric Dier will captain Spurs, while Lucas has been handed the honour for the Reds.
It's all set to kick-off at 7.45 on Sky Sports 1.
