Kieran Sadlier is reportedly close to joining English League One side, Doncaster.
According to the Irish Sun's Neil O'Riordan, the deal could be completed next week.
Sadlier spent the last 18 months at Cork City but his contract with the club expired following last month's FAI Cup final defeat to Dundalk.
The 24-year-old found the net 24 times in all competitions last season. He was also named in the PFAI Team of the Year as Cork relinquished their title to Dundalk.
Sadlier joined Cork from Sligo Rovers. The former Ireland U21 international made the move to the League of Ireland from Peterborough in early 2016.
It's said that there is abundant interest in Sadlier from English clubs with the Championship's Rotherham, Doncaster's fellow League One side, Portsmouth, and League Two's Swindon Town also in the mix.
Doncaster are currently seventh in League One, just two points outside the playoffs places.
It is also reported that Cork's Sean McLoughlin could also make the move to Doncaster. The centre-back signed a new deal with Cork during the summer. That contract runs until the end of next year.
