Wexford man Kevin Doyle was back in the goals on Saturday night as he registered his 4th of the season to open the scoring in Colorado Rapids' 3-1 win over Houston Dynamo.
With the Rapids sitting in 9th in the Western Conference, and their visitors in a much healthier 4th, the win may have been against the odds but Doyle and his strike partner Dominque Badji ran the Dynamo ragged.
The Irishman made the breakthrough on 21 minutes with a tidy first-time finish:
Before going on to seal the win with an assist for the third goal.
Doyle was man of the match, or most valuable player in this case, as he looks to be really enjoying his football in Colorado.
Congrats Kevin Doyle voted Shout MVP in today's Colorado Rapids v Houston Dynamo game. Vote at https://t.co/mfAOeLE5PO
