Kevin de Bruyne has been in scintillating form this season, and he helped Manchester City to their second Champions League final on Wednesday night.
In truth, it wasn't even a contest at the Etihad, with Real Madrid utterly torn apart in a 4-0 win for City, with Pep Guardiola's team putting in one of the most impressive performances by a team in a Champions League semi-final in recent memory.
It wasn't all plain sailing for City, however. Early in the second half, the TV coverage picked up Guardiola storming out into his technical area to admonish de Bruyne after the Belgian midfielder lost the ball in a duel with Eder Militao.
Pitchside cameras have now picked up what was said when de Bruyne yelled back at his manager.
Sideline footage shines light on Kevin de Bruyne and Pep Guardiola's disagreement
Kevin de Bruyne is indispensable to Manchester City's game plan, and his statistics this season are off the charts (as usual).
The 31-year-old has registered 10 goals and 29 assists in all competitions this season, and it was his screamer at the Bernabeu in the first leg which meant City went into the second leg on level terms.
He is not flawless, however, and early in the second half on Wednesday night he gave the ball away in careless fashion when challenged by Real Madrid centre back Eder Militao.
When his manager Pep Guardiola admonished him from the sideline, de Bruyne appeared to angrily snap back at the Spaniard.

Pitchside footage has now revealed what was said between the pair.
Guardiola appears to tell de Bruyne to "pass the ball" before he loses it - with de Bruyne remonstrating and telling his manager to "Shut up!" immediately afterwards.

Though some will try to read into the apparent tensions between de Bruyne and Guardiola, the pair were later seen embracing as the Belgian maestro left the field of play to be replaced by Phil Foden late in the game.
There is no doubt that Kevin de Bruyne will be a crucial part of Guardiola's game plan when Manchester City face Internazionale in the Champions League final on June 10.
