Kenny Miller is set to take on Rangers after accusing the club of excessive punishment and "defamation of my character." It comes while he and Lee Wallace are disputing Rangers' fine and suspension from the Scottish Cup semi-final loss to Celtic.
Both players were punished after a dressing-room incident that occurred in the aftermath of Celtic's 4-0 victory.
Miller told the BBC he will continue to contest the case and it has been referred to the Scottish Professional Football League.
It is to defend myself against the allegations and the defamation of my character, which has happened twice this season. We are disputing the fine and we'll just have to see how that goes. It will likely be a longish process. The time will be right when I can clear a few things up - not just about this situation but what's happened over the course of the season.
It is something that happens in every dressing-room. These things happen with people who care.
Wallace, who was a year left on his contract, was fined four weeks wages and Miller was fined two after alleged outbursts towards then Rangers Manager Graeme Murty. Wallace is due back in training this week under new boss Steven Gerrard while Miller is still looking for a club.
