Picking an all-time Premier League team is no easy task. Some incredible players have grace the league since it was rebranded in 1992, making it very difficult to narrow down the 11 best footballers to feature in the division.

Of course, team bias will always play a part in this process. Supporters are usually more likely to big up members of the team they follow, leading to some often controversial selections.

That is what makes these teams so interesting.

Speaking at The Overlap Live Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were all asked to select their all-time Premier League XIs. However, they were not allowed to select players from their former teams. In other words, no Manchester United players for Neville and Keane, with Carragher forbidden from selecting Liverpool players.

The results were quite intriguing. As you can imagine, Neville was given quite the reception from the Manchester crowd when his team was displayed first at the event and he had selected four Liverpool players. You can see the three teams below.

Roy Keane's team

Petr Cech, Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany, Tony Adams, Ashley Cole, Steven Gerrard, Patrick Vieira, Frank Lampard, Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Mohamed Salah.

Jamie Carragher's team

Peter Schmeichel, Gary Neville, Vincent Kompany, John Terry, Denis Irwin, Patrick Vieira, Roy Keane, Thierry Henry, David Silva, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer.

Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, and Alan Shearer are the only names to be included in all three teams, understandable when you consider that Liverpool and Manchester United players were excluded from some of the selections.

Clarifying his team selection, Carragher said that Roy Keane would be his captain, with the Irishman and Vieira always going to get ahead of the likes of Paul Scholes in his midfield.

[Scholes] was a brilliant player, but it was always going to be those two in those positions for me.

You can't argue with that.

As for Keane, he didn't even remember picking his XI:

I don't remember picking this. Honestly, I don't remember.

It's not bad... It's a good team that.

Strangely enough, Jamie Carragher got the best reception of the lot after picking his Manchester United heavy side.

Not bad selections it must be said.
