After fourteen years at Real Madrid, Karim Benzema is set to leave the club this summer.
Having played with the club since 2009, Benzema will depart on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old who joined Madrid from Lyon had a year left on his contract but has reportedly received a "record offer" from a Saudi Arabian side.
The five time Champions League and four time La Liga winner is subject to the offer from Al-Ittihad, with state television reporting that Benzema will sign a two year deal with the club.
Just last week Al-Ittihad, who are managed by former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, won their ninth league title.
Benzema could feature for Real Madrid for one final time in their final league match of the season against Athletic Bilbao tonight.
"Benzema has been an example of behaviour and professionalism and has represented the values of our club," Madrid said in a statement this morning.
"He has earned the right to decide his future."
"Madridistas and all the fans around the world have enjoyed his magical and unique football, which has made him one of the great legends of our club and one of the great legends of world football.
"Real Madrid is and will always be his home, and we wish him and all his family the best in this new phase of his life."
