It's pretty well known by now that King and Queen Of The World™ Kanye West and Kim Kardashian flew into Cork Airport at the weekend, most likely for a honeymoon stay at the Castlemartyr Resort in East Cork. Anyway, this isn't TMZ or the like, so the reason I bring this up is that Cork City have offered to provide the pair with some Friday night entertainment in one of the best sporting venues in the country.
The Cross might not have the internationally-renowned glamour, or the adequate cover from the elements that the Staples Centre provides, but at least it has bags of character, a noisy singing section and a not-too-overpriced chip van.
With Cork in second place in the league, and Athlone having finally grabbed their fist win of the season, the pair should really take up the offer.
