After years and years of threatening it, Carlos Tevez has finally gone back to Argentina to be greeted with much joy and crying etc. etc. However, one part of the deal which isn't getting nearly enough coverage is the fact that Boca Juniors' 18-year-old attacker, Guido Vadala went in the opposite direction.
Who is Vadala? A nobody at the minute but if Football Manager is anything to go by then he'll definitely be a somebody in years to come.
Here's his stats while playing as an attacking midfielder -for someone managing Juventus coincidentally - come 2022.
As it happens, I had actually bought him for Leeds United a while ago after I got them promoted to the Premier League. However I've had a big problem with him in that he's neither a central midfielder nor a striker. He thrives when playing in the hole but given that I play a 4-1-2-2-1 formation I can't fit him in.
And chatting around the office, this would seem to be a common problem managers face with Vadala.
So while Juventus fans should be very excited about his signature, it comes with a stern warning from managers like myself. You need to build a team around him because he won't build his game around you.
