A Gonzalo Higuaín-inspired Juventus took a giant leap towards another Champions League final with a 2-0 win over Monaco at Monte Carlo's Stade Louis II.
The Argentine striker himself perhaps predictably couldn't escape the ire of Eamon Dunphy in spite of a neat first-half finish on the back of a backheel-heavy, flowing team move, but fellow RTÉ panelist Didi Hamann was extremely impressed by the Italian champions as an outfit.
Hamann said:
...the way they pass the ball, the way they look after the ball when they are in possession, and defensively just a joy to watch.
I just love watching them. I hope some of the English teams, or management teams, are watching, because we always talk about these players we want to see in the Premier League, and I think this team shows what's possible when you've got a team where everybody thinks about the team first - not themselves.
They all work for each other. [Mario] Mandzukic played out on the left. It's not his natural position but he does a job for the team. It's just an ultimate collective effort, and it's a joy to watch.
A joy to watch according to Didi as "Juventus were the stronger side, playing for each other" #RTEsoccer pic.twitter.com/xPrtSp58Vo
