...if that was humanly possible.
It's quite clear that Jurgen Klopp has done a very, very good job with the players at his disposal since being appointed as manager of Liverpool, as their fantastic Europa League win over Borussia Dortmund has coincided with an impressive patch of form in the Premier League, so the German was already extremely high in the estimations of the club supporters, but now he will surely be even more so.
Newcastle visit Merseyside this weekend and that brings about another return to Anfield for Rafa Benitez, who remains a very popular figure with the Liverpool supporters to this day. One thing that is clearly benefitting Klopp since his arrival in England is that he understands the club he manages, he "gets it", and his comments on Benitez are further example of that.
Not only did he say that Benitez deserves a good reception and he will be happy to see it, but that he personally knows him and thinks he's a great bloke.
Be louder than you have ever been, that's absolutely OK.
That's how I would say hello to a good, old friend.
He is so good with the press. It's clear that the question was angled to see if he would perhaps feel uneasy with another manager getting love from the fans, but he shut that idea down and has given the fans exactly what they want to hear.
You get the feeling that with Klopp's first transfer window on the horizon, Liverpool will be a very different prospect next season to what they have been since the departure of Luis Suarez.
