Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp got a taste of some League of Ireland talent recently, when asked to pick out the professional footballer among a group of pretenders.
As part of a segment for Sky Sports called 'Pick the Pro, a group of five people were put through a series of challenges and asked questions, with Klopp and Joel Matic having to decide which one was a professional player.
Among them was Waterford United's Connor Parsons, who clearly stood out, with Klopp likening him to Jack Grealish, both for his skills and his style.
Connor Parsons Fails To Fool Jurgen Klopp
Parsons described to Klopp his training scheduled and his favourite move of 'right foot step over to line and cross on my left'.
However, the German manager became less convinced when Parsons explained that his last goal was in a play-off final in November.
Despite Parsons reassuring Klopp that the season in Ireland doesn't run in winter, Klopp believed that he was 'too good' and eliminated him from contention.

When it was revealed that Parsons was indeed the pro, Klopp wanted to know more about the League of Ireland season.
"In Ireland," Parsons explained, "the seasons are from February to November, we don't play over the winter months because it gets too cold and the pitches get ruined and stuff."
Of course, the play-off that Parsons was referring to was the November 10 fixture between Waterford and Cork City, which saw Parsons' side win the relegation play-off and earn promotion to the League of Ireland Premier Division.
